Dictionary by Farlex

Something viewed as a product of human conception or agency rather than an inherent element.

An object produced or shaped by human craft, especially a tool, weapon, or ornament of archaeological or historical interest.

An inaccurate observation, effect, or result, especially one resulting from the technology used in scientific investigation or from experimental error.

A structure or feature not normally present but visible as a result of an external agent or action, such as one seen in a microscopic specimen after fixation, or in an image produced by radiology or electrocardiography.

A quel moment commence l' artefact ? Si c'est réellement un artefact.

Pourquoi une compression JPG ? Rien ne le prouve.

Pour donner votre conclusion, vous devez étudier vous-même, sinon votre parole n'a aucune valeur. Prenez votre temps pour décripter ces images.

Ces structures ont une épaisseur. Elles sont en 3 D.

Yes but, the images that we showed Helioviewer exist in its database. Is it a setting in Helioviewer, which manufactures these artifacts? Why not!

Can someone at Heliovewer tell us how they do to create these shapes to vertical and horizontal strokes. Never wrong. With good net designs often. If these are artifacts, they are not common.

Why these designs are only located in band AIA 1600 of the SDO satellite to this address: http://delphi.nascom.nasa.gov/

Why these designs are not at all in the band AIA 1600 of the SDO satellite to this address: http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/aiahmi/

This second address shows big points of light fuzzy. The first address shows us these points visible and very detailed.

When starting the artifact? If it is actually an artifact.

Why a JPG compression? There is no evidence.

To give your conclusion, you need to examine yourself, otherwise your Word has no value. Take your time for analyze these images.

These structures have a thickness. They are 3D images.

Cordialement,
B. Lempel "

Here is the open response to a well known scientist, to whom I asked his opinion on these images, on Marsh The 14 :

Forgive my English, I'm trying to translate this message, and I thank him :

" Hello

It is curious indeed. We can consider at least two assumptions:
1. it is a real phenomenon, but at the moment, and without proof, I think that i must reject this idea.
2. it is artifacts. These could be due to electronics that hides behind the cell of CCDs. A fraction of light received through the cells and then is returned to said cells. It was images of the circuits that are superimposed on the useful image.

You should read an article to the Sun that was published in Science and life no. 1142 Nov 2012.
This article is on page 98.

Kind regards
B. Lempel "

" Dear Alain Jamet,

All CCDs have flatfields and the AIA 1600 bandpass is no exception. It looks like a tile pattern. But the variations you are seeing is the result of taking a lot of images with the CCD and leaving a burned-in pattern.

Sincerely,
Dean Pesnell "

" Cher Alain Jamet,

Bien cordialement,
Dean Pesnell "

We have to be careful but I remain in doubt. Nobody answers on the fact that we see structures on an address from Nasa and not on the other address? It is not less than on other bandwidths, SDO, SOHO, STEREO satellites we see big points light, often clear and similar same sometimes curious vessels of the space. There are too many evidence of appearances of these UFOs around our planet to deny their existence.Only a very small amount of these items are manufactured by us earthlings as the American TR3B which seems to work with MHD generator.

To return to these structures vertical and horizontal in their traits and that appeared to show the main lines of the CCD, you should know that on the EIT by the SOHO satellite detectors, these lines are crooked and "cubes" that sometimes come to show, are also through. see my page:

http://altynia.pagesperso-orange.fr/Page%2003%20SOHO%20Satellite%20Altynia.htm

It is also interesting to see this image that I was able to recover one day and that maybe the drawings on the sensor CCD of SOHO shows us.

http://altynia.pagesperso-orange.fr/Page%2003%20SOHO%20Satellite%20Altynia.htm

On Tue, Jan 29, 2013 at 12:04 PM,

Good morning,

Thanks for all of your works, your presentations. All research is exciting and it is important to share it.

I would like to show you what I found from 22/01/2013 on helioviewer in the SDO AIA 1600 bandwidth.

Can you watch my video on You Tube to see these strange and wonderful structures around the Sun ,

and tell me what you think of :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qicF1e6xMFY

Thank you.

Alain JAMET

et le 06 août 2013, ils me répondent ceci :

Dear Alain Jamet,

Thank you for contacting us, and we apologize for the tardy reply.

The features you present in your YouTube video are compression artifacts. A compression artifact

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compression_artifact

is caused by application of the lossy data compression we use to the original SDO science data.

Each original SDO image is 4096 x 4096 pixels, with each pixel described by 14 bits. This means that each original SDO image is typically 64MB. Helioviewer.org takes that original data and compresses it down to 1 MB. It does this lossily, meaning that we try to keep only the most important parts of the original data in order to show our users a representative image of that original data. We do this for two reasons. Firstly, smaller images are easy to store, since we need less space to do so. It also makes the images easier to transfer to our users, since they are smaller. Secondly, the full science data is not required in order for users to get a good idea of what the Sun is doing, which is the purpose of Helioviewer.

The algorithm that creates a representative image from the original science data sometimes does not have enough information to create good representations for some portions of image. This leads to compression artifacts of the type you have observed. The original science data is freely available via http://sdo.gsfc.nasa.gov/data/dataaccess.php if you wish to examine further.

Hope this helps,

Helioviewer Team
